Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek is ready to return to the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in 2021! Two action-packed days are lined up for the Clyde on July 23rd-24th to close out an epic week of wingless 600 racing.
After events at Greenwood Valley Action Track (Monday, July 19th), Spirit Auto Center Speedway (Tuesday, July 20th), Action Track USA (Wednesday, July 21st), and Linda’s Speedway (Thursday, July 22nd), Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek will conclude at the Clyde with Preliminary Night on Friday, July 23rd, followed by the $10,000-to-win Finale on Saturday, July 24th (with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, July 25th).
Both days of racing at the Clyde will be sponsored by Robert and Kathy Hummer and Rodota Trucking and Excavating, Belivdere, NJ, 908-453-3232, www.rodotatrucking.com.
Both the Rodota Trucking and Excavating Preliminary Night and the Rodota Trucking and Excavating Speedweek Finale will serve as full, points-paying events for the Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek. Both nights will include full shows with qualifying events, lower mains, and the A-Main. The specific format for each night will be released in the near future. All Speedweek rules will be in effect, and any questions on the Speedweek rules should be directed to Speedweek officials.
The Finale will pay $10,000 to win if there are 80 or more cars. If there are less than 80 cars, then the Finale will pay $7,500 to win. However, additional sponsors are working to be found in order to ensure that the race will pay $10,000 to win, regardless of car count. The race will pay $500 to start if there are 100 or more cars, $400 to start if there are between 80 and 99 cars, and $300 to start if there are less than 80 cars. Preliminary Night will pay $1,000 to win, and $50 to start.
The car entry form for both Friday and Saturday will be available on the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway website, www.clydemartinspeedway.com, in the near future. The early registration fee will be $125 and will apply to any car entry received on or before April 3rd. Teams can submit their entry at the No Wing Spring Fling, which is scheduled for that date. The pre-entry registration fee will be $150 and will apply to any car entry received after April 3rd and on or before July 4th. Teams can submit their entry at the Sunday Funday 4th of July Spectacular, which is scheduled for that date. The regular entry registration fee will be $175 and will apply to any car entry received after July 4th and up to and including race day.
Pit admission will be $35 per day, or $60 for a 2-day pass. General admission will be $10 per day for all people ages 13+, while ages 12 and under will get in FREE on both days.
Reserved pit spots will be available and can optionally be reserved with the car entry. The price for reserved pit spots and other info will be included on the car entry form.
If recent history is any indication, the winner of these races, as well as the overall Speedweek champion, will go on to see plenty of success in the months to follow. Alex Bright parlayed Speedweek race victories in 2018 and 2019 into a victory at the Tulsa Shootout in the Stock Non-Wing class in 2020. Kyle Spence followed up a win at the Clyde and a Speedweek championship in 2018 with back-to-back Golden Drillers in the Winged A-Class in 2019 and 2020. Most recently, 2020 Speedweek champion Brian Carber provided an encore to his win at the Clyde and his championship performance by taking home the win in the Keith Kunz Motorsports Give Back Classic. That gave Carber a KKM entry in this year’s Chili Bowl, an entry which he took all the way to the C-Main. On top of that, Carber won not one, but two Golden Drillers in the Tulsa Shootout, taking the checkers in both the Stock Non-Wing class and the Winged A-Class. It’s clear that to win during 600 Speedweek, you’ve got to beat the best of the best!
With that in mind, make your plans now! We look forward to seeing you for the final events of what promises to be an exciting and competitive Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek.
