After all four events in April were completed without the interference of Mother Nature, Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway is now "Oh-for-two" in the month of May.

The racing program scheduled for May 11 was rained out, forcing the Hyper Racing 600cc, Viper Chassis 270cc, Sportsman, 125cc, and 250cc Four-Strokes to wait another week before resuming their championship battles. The five weekly divisions will return next Saturday on Veterans/ Armed Forces Night, when all current and past military personnel (showing valid I.D.) will receive free general admission! The Restricted 600cc class will also make their second appearance of the season on Saturday, May 18.
Gates open at 4:30; warm-ups at 6:00; and the first heat goes green at 7:00. All five classes will compete in qualifying heats, consolations (if needed), and 25-lap feature races!

Memorial Day weekend will offer two big nights of winged wildness, as the Bud's Spring Service Memorial Day Open is presented on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.

The five weekly classes will provide their exciting brand of mud-slinging mayhem on Saturday, while the 600cc and 270cc Sprints return on Sunday along with the All Star Slingshots.

Sunday's action will be lucrative for the 600cc and 270cc pilots, as the qualifying heats, consolations, and main events will all offer a payout. And the Slingers will compete in the seventh annual Slide at the Clyde, a National Tour event for the Briggs and Stratton powered racers.

Additional information on all of May's programs, as well as the rest of the 2019 campaign, is available at www.clydemartinspeedway.com. The speedway is also active on social media, with accounts at Facebook.com/Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway and Twitter (@Lanco_CMMS).
Come on out and LIVE the excitement that is Lanco!
