Although tonight’s racing events at the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway have been cancelled due to inclement weather, there are many big events that will coming to the Clyde over the next several weeks.
Next Saturday, June 26th will be a regular points-paying event with all four classes in action. It will be County Fair Night and will feature a pie judging contest. Anyone wishing to make a pie can bring it to the table next to the Kim’s Kreations Novelty Stand. The winner of the pie judging contest will receive free general admission passes to a future event.
Sunday, July 4th will be the Sunday Funday/4th of July Spectacular at the Clyde. The event will feature the wingless 600s, winged 270s, wingless 125/4 Strokes, and the All Star Slingshots as part of the action. The event will be $1,000 to win for all micro sprint division, provided that there are at least 35 cars in each class.
July 23rd-24th will be the Rodota Trucking and Excavating 600 Speedweek Finale at the Clyde. The action will begin with Keizer Wheels Preliminary Night on Friday, July 23rd, with the winner taking home $2,000 as part of a full points-paying event for Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek. Then, Saturday, July 24th will be the $10,000-to-win Rodota Trucking and Excavating Finale Night, which will cap off Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek and an epic two nights of wingless 600 action at the Clyde.
Saturday, July 31st will be the grandaddy of them all, the Clyde Martin Memorial. The event will feature 35-lap, double points races for all four classes. All drivers competing are required to be members and must have attempted to run at least 50% of the regular points races in 2021. The race will pay $750 to the winner of each division.
On Saturday, August 7th, the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Tour will make their annual stop to the Clyde, as they will pair up with the wingless 600s, who will compete in a $1,500-to-win race, in what promises to be one of the most exciting events of the season. Advanced general admission tickets are on sale at the pit shack every Saturday night, and will also be sold the day of the race from 1:00 to 3:00.
